Brea Keating7 years agoI called looking for an immediate appointment due to horrible pain in my arms from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was in day 9 of a horrible pain flare and I couldn’t take it anymore. Amy kindly fit me in between other clients and said she would see what she could do with me. We talked a ton while she had me hooked up to a current. She gently reminded me of the things I need to do to avoid flares, like avoiding excess coffee, gluten... all things I’m struggling to manage. When we started the acupuncture, Amy described what she was doing and why. I learned some new things. Woke up next day feeling GREAT!!! No more pain, just a little fatigue. Even thinking about going to the gym! So glad I went!!
G T8 years ago1st time ever doing acupuncture and Amy was accommodating to my individual needs and extremely knowledgeable and kind ❤️ Feeling amazing and breathing smoothly and clearly and shoulder tension completely released which was the cause of my visit 😁
Maureen S8 years agoI hadn't been able fall asleep or get a full night's sleep for several months, and it was impacting my health, my work and my overall sanity. I had tried several different sleep medications and found myself in a state of brain fog all the time. My chiropractor referred me to Amy Landolt to help me with my sleep issues. I wanted to try acupuncture since it was a more natural treatment that wouldn't make me feel like a zombie. After my first treatment, I was able to fall asleep and had a full night of sleep. After 4 treatments, I'm consistently able to fall asleep and stay asleep. Amy is so easy to work with! I trusted her at my first appointment. She listened to my issues, and suggested breathing and meditation techniques for me that would help me every day. Since starting with her a few weeks ago, I have referred several friends, my parents, my coworkers and I highly recommend Amy to those out there reading this. I'm so grateful and relieved that I found a treatment for my insomnia.
Dana Garbarski9 years agoI was having acute pain in my scapula for 8 months. It would flare up and be burning, stabbing, and tingling. Two rounds of physical therapy helped with strength but did not mitigate the pain. After a few treatments, the pain started to subside and is now gone! We are now working on my migraines, which are also starting to decrease in frequency. Amy is relaxed, knowledgeable, and really listens to every symptom and change in symptoms. She also tells you why she's doing what she's doing with your treatment. I would recommend her to anyone!
incognito6159 years agoThe thought of the needles were scary at first, but Amy had such a calmness and confidence that I jumped right in and allowed her to perform my first acupuncture. It didn't hurt and the experience was great. As she said, I had tons of energy the next day. I would definitely try it again. Thanks for a great after-care experience!
Melina Kelson9 years agoI was suffering with excruciating pain after herniating two discs in my back. Amy came in late on a Saturday and treated me gently and effectively using a variety of modalities from acupuncture to essential oils. I could barely get on the table when I arrived, but left her office feeling immediate relief and relaxation. Best yet, she armed me with knowledge to help me heal and avoid reinjury. I strongly recommend this thorough, generous, and compassionate practioner!
John Terzis9 years ago"I have been living with the discomfort of a dull pain in my back. I was surprised I had an immediate reduction in pain after just one visit. After a few treatments, the dull pain in my back is greatly reduced and I can do my daily activities and exercise with more ease. The constant dull pain that was always there is now mostly gone. Amy is a professional - well educated in her field. She is responsive and immediately follows through with her health suggestions and educational material based on her recommendations." Timothy Thoelecke9 years agoThis was my first experience with acupuncture. I found it relaxing and definitely worth the effort. I was not sure what to expect and turned out to be a great experience. Amy is professional and knows her stuff.
Dean Bushala10 years agoI have been dealing with back pain for years and nothing seemed to give me complete relief and taking pills daily was not my idea of a remedy. After a few visits with Amy my life changed. My back pain improved dramatically, my sleeping improved and I even noticed I had better concentration at work. I can't recommend Amy and acupuncture enough!
Sharan Tash11 years agoI was in a car accident on Wednesday. Hit from behind, and Wednesday I was fine. Thursday my back started bothering me, and by Saturday I was not doing well at all. I also have a recurring knee problem which acts up every once in a while. Amy was exactly what I needed. I had a treatment this morning and I am feeling fantastic. The acupuncture and the cupping she did on my back have made me feel great. Her gentle touch, and her knowledge made me feel very comfortable with the procedures. Amy was very open about what everything was for, and forwarded me if something might be uncomfortable, but it was never bad. She is a consummate professional. I will definitely be going back to her if I need more acupuncture or cupping, and she will be my first call if I ever have pains in the future. I am very comfortable referring my members to Amy and will continue to refer my members, family and friends to this wonderful acupuncturist. GREAT job Amy!!!!!!!!!
Acupuncture
What Is Moxibustion?

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy rooted in East Asian medicine that involves the application of heat to specific points on the body using moxa, a dried form of the herb Artemisia argyi (commonly known as mugwort). The goal is simple but powerful: warm the body, stimulate circulation, and support the natural flow of energy, often referred to as qi, to promote healing and overall well-being. continue reading
How Acupuncture Complements Sports Medicine: An Integrated Approach

Modern sports medicine has evolved far beyond rest, ice, and painkillers. Today’s athletes, both professional and recreational alike, are increasingly supported by multidisciplinary care teams that may include physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, nutritionists, and mental performance coaches. Within this integrated model, acupuncture has emerged as a powerful complementary therapy, bridging ancient medical wisdom with contemporary sports science. continue reading
Cupping + Acupuncture: More Than the Sum of its Parts
Do any of these scenarios sound like your life: a stubborn knot between the shoulder blades, a low-back flare that keeps returning, or a neck that feels “stuck” after long hours at a desk? Acupuncture needles can calm the nervous system and change pain signaling and cupping can mechanically decompress tight tissue and improve local circulation. Used together thoughtfully and safely they’re often paired to help pain move from “sharp and guarded” to “dull and workable,” and then to “resolved or manageable.” continue reading
The Healing Landscape of Scalp Acupuncture

Many healing journeys begin in unexpected places. For some, recovery starts not in the muscles of the back or the ligaments of a knee, but in the quiet landscape of the scalp, an area often overlooked except for styling, washing, and the occasional headache. Yet, for many people seeking relief from neurological, physical, and emotional challenges, scalp acupuncture is becoming a compelling bridge to healing. continue reading
Electroacupuncture: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Current

The clinic was quiet except for the soft hum of a small device on the treatment table. A runner lay comfortably, acupuncture needles placed along her calf and lower back to address chronic pain that kept her from her regular running routine.
Because of the chronic and nagging injury, she turned to acupuncture to find healing. But it wasn’t quite what she expected. Rather than simply resting with the needles inserted, the practitioner gently attached thin leads to several of the needles and turned on a device that sent a gentle electrical current through them. A subtle pulsing sensation began, almost like tiny waves moving through her muscles. Within minutes, she felt her body responding, warming, releasing.
This therapy was electroacupuncture, a technique blending the longstanding principles of traditional acupuncture with modern electrical stimulation. continue reading
Chinese & Japanese Acupuncture: Two Traditions, One Lineage

Both Japanese and Chinese acupuncture spring from the same classical East Asian medical roots, yet they diverged over centuries into distinct clinical styles. In Japan, techniques evolved toward gentler, highly tactile methods. And in China, the practice of acupuncture tended to emphasize stronger needle sensation and standardized point prescriptions within Traditional Chinese Medicine, also known as TCM. While some have their preferences, neither is “better” than the other. The right choice often depends on the patient’s condition, sensitivity, and their goals. continue reading
What is Five Element Acupuncture?

Five Element Acupuncture is a classical style of East Asian medicine that organizes diagnosis and treatment around the dynamic interplay of five phases/elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element is associated (in this framework) with organ networks, emotions, sensory patterns, and seasonal cycles. Treatment aims to restore harmony among these elements when one becomes predominant or deficient. continue reading
The Role of Pediatric Acupuncture in Children’s Health

There are a variety of reasons for parents to seek out a pediatric acupuncturist. It usually isn’t the first resource sought out when a child is suffering from insomnia, infrequent bowel movements, or other digestive issues. However, more and more parents are looking for ways to treat these issues that don’t involve prescription medication that often has side effects worse than what they are trying to treat. As parents increasingly seek holistic and integrative approaches to their children’s well-being, pediatric acupuncture is gaining traction as a safe, effective, and non-pharmaceutical option for a wide range of childhood health concerns. continue reading
Needle by Needle: Acupuncture and Healing from Trauma

People can experience trauma in a variety of ways. Trauma can be physical or emotional. It can be the result of an event like a car accident or through a relationship like with an abusive parent, teacher/coach, or spouse. Trauma doesn’t just reside in the mind but rather embeds itself deep in the body.
It can be tricky to treat and can manifest anxiety and other behavioral triggers sometimes without warning. Many trauma victims are finding that acupuncture, with its whole-person, body-based approach, offers a powerful and gentle tool for those seeking to heal from the wounds trauma leaves behind. continue reading
Pinpointing Migraine Relief with Acupuncture

According to the CDC, in the United States, over 15 percent of all adults complain about severe headaches or migraines, with prevalence among women more than twice as high as among men. In 2021, 4.3% of adults aged ≥18 years reported being bothered a lot by headache or migraine in the past 3 months, with a higher percentage among women (6.2%) than men (2.2%).
Treatment options include medication that can often leave sufferers feeling groggy and unlike themselves for hours after taking it. Many people are looking for a drug-free way to combat the root cause of migraines and they’re finding it with acupuncture. Let’s look at how acupuncture can truly provide relief to those suffering from chronic migraines. continue reading
