Hosting a group stress relief event
We are excited that you are considering hosting a group stress relief event. Your friends, family, or colleagues will thank you for helping them feel calm, sleep more soundly and have a sense of inner strength.
What happens at a group stress relief event?
Attendees are treated in a group, sitting up in chairs, fully clothed. An acupuncturist will place up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each attendee’s ear. The recipients sit quietly in a group setting for 15-45 minutes.

In 1974, a psychiatrist Michael Smith in the South Bronx’s Lincoln Recovery Center began developing the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol for the treatment of addiction by modifying a protocol used in China for pain relief and opiate withdrawal.
The NADA protocol is a non-verbal approach to healing that involves the placement of up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. The recipients sit quietly in a group setting for 30-45 minutes.
