What is your bedtime ritual?
Sleeping has always been a struggle for me as my mind continues to run on overdrive wven as I am trying to go to sleep. On my normal routine I brush my teeth, lotion my feet (has a lavender essential oil in it) and the massaging of my feet helps to relax me. I turn on a 90 min guided sleep meditation and usually by about an hour in I’m asleep. I have only once heard the whole thing.
What do you do during the day that has the biggest impact (positive or negative) on your sleep?
Hmmm. I take naps… I am the most creative in the wee hours of the night and early morning. So if I know I need to write or be creative I
will take a nap and then wake up about 9 and work till 3am then nap again until 7 when I get up for the day.
In the last 5 years, what new belief, behavior or habit has most improved your sleep?
That I need to sleep! I average only 4 hours a night 😕
If you have had a particularly challenging day and your normal bedtime routine isn’t enough for you to fall asleep, what do you try next?
Have glass of wine or take a melatonin
