What is your bedtime ritual?

My bedtime ritual is to have a glass of warm lemon water and nighttime supplements that clean the gut while I rest. I try to pull away from over stimulating activity and just let my brain ooze. To STOP eating is a MUST too, so the digestion system can rest. Finally, the use of magnesium oil on my feet after a warm shower. Everything about this tells my body it’s time to wind down.

What do you do during the day that has the biggest impact (positive or negative) on your sleep?

I find that if I am overly stressed, I don’t sleep well, eating too late and having too much to do. Just the opposite for positive sleep I try to make and prioritize lists that allow my mind to rest. Pull away from electronics at least an hour or so before turning in and make sure that I have the proper nutrients in so that my cortisol levels aren’t spiked causing great sleep.

In the last 5 years, what new belief, behavior or habit has most improved your sleep?

In the last 5 years I have learned that certain sleep aids diminish receptors in the brain and cause suffocation like sleep within the brain. Since learning that I try my best to fall asleep naturally.

If you have had a particularly challenging day and your normal bedtime routine isn’t enough for you to fall asleep, what do you try next?

Magnesium Oil is a miracle supplement. Not only is it good for joint pain and reducing inflammation, but it is also a great natural sleep aid.

What purchase of $100 or less has improved your sleep the most?

I would recommend an Infrared light and magnesium oils are both inexpensive ways to improve the quality of sleep. Helping to bring your body into balance and alignment, reducing stress and allocating 8 hours can improve quality of life.
