Relief from election anxiety

We are all experiencing some big emotions during this election season. We would like to offer an opportunity to come together in community to process some of those emotions. Take some time to ground yourself on Tuesday 11/5 between 3-4pm before the election results start to come in and/or come in on Wednesday 11/6 between 10-11am to reset your nervous system to prepare for the work that is ahead of us regardless of the results (or to process the discomfort of uncertainty if the results are not yet known.)

ELECTION ANXIETY RELIEF COMPLIMENTARY COMMUNITY SESSIONS

Date/Time: Tuesday 11/5 between 3-4pm and Wednesday 11/6 between 10-11am. Try to arrive within the first 30 minutes for a full session. You don’t have to register in advance; just show up.

Location: Northshore Acupuncture Center, 5225 Old Orchard Rd, Suite 24A, Skokie, IL

Fee: $0 or if you are able, please bring female hygiene products or spare change to be donated to the Evanston Community Fridges.

What: You will be treated in a group, sitting in chairs, fully clothed. Up to five small, sterilized disposable needles will be placed into specific sites on each ear: a protocol developed by the Black Panthers and Young Lords as a tool for liberation and community health. If you don’t want to have acupuncture, you can still benefit from the treatment by sitting with the group or with the placement of ear seeds on points.
