Connecting to the Community: Paula

One key part of your health is your connection to your community. And one way to connect with your community is to get involved and give back. Each Saturday, we feature different ways members of the Northshore Acupuncture Center community are rolling up their sleeves and giving back.

This week we are featuring Paula. Many of you helped Paula with her project to “Adopt a Mom” to make sure none of the moms in local nursing homes went without a gift on Mother’s day. With your financial assistance, Paula delivered almost 200 Mother’s Day gifts consisting of a Mary Kay hand cream in a coffee mug with a message. In addition, for each mom sponsored, $1 was donated to the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation which addresses domestic violence and cancers facing women.

Paula started the “Adopt a Mom” project in honor of her mom.

Next year, Paula would like to work with other Mary Kay consultants to make this a state wide if not national initiative.
