Connecting to the Community: Lynn

One key part of your health is your connection to your community. And one way to connect with your community is to get involved and give back. Each Saturday, we feature different ways members of the Northshore Acupuncture Center community are rolling up their sleeves and giving back.

This week we are featuring Lynn’s involvement with Random Acts of Flowers, a non-profit organization that recycles and repurposes donated flowers for delivery to patients in area healthcare facilities.

The Chicago chapter has delivered flowers to 46,278 local recipients and recycled 47,450 vases. Interested in getting involved?

There are opportunities to volunteer as an individual or as a group:

  • Picking up donated flower and vases
  • Sorting, composting, and organizing donated flowers
  • Arranging fresh bouquets
  • Delivering bouquets throughout our community
  • Organizing the workshop
  • Lending a hand at special events

You can donate flowers from weddings, birthday celebrations and local events to be repurposed for people in local healthcare facilities. Do you have more flower vases than you need? Donate your vases.

You can also provide financial support or help provide items on their wish list.
