Connecting to the Community – Rob

One key part of your health is your connection to your community. And one way to connect with your community is to get involved and give back. Each Saturday, we feature different ways members of the Northshore Acupuncture Center community are rolling up their sleeves and giving back.

This week we are featuring Rob’s involvement with the Coral Reef Alliance. The Coral Reef Alliance protects our most valuable and threatened ecosystem. They lead holistic conservation programs that improve coral reef health and resilience and are replicated across the globe. Their website contains tips about how you can help by living sustainably (ie switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs, planting native trees and plants, using reusable bags when you shop), being a smart consumer, and being an advocate. They also provide information on what to do when you are traveling. And of course, they will accept donations – and you know your money is being used well as they received Charity Navigator’s top rating of 4-stars, reflecting their sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.
